How can I setup Hotmail on my Motorola XOOM?
To setup Hotmail:
- From the home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Accounts & sync
- Touch + Add account > Email
- Touch Manual setup
- Touch POP3
- Enter your username (complete email address including the @hotmail.com)
- Enter your password
- Enter POP3 server - pop3.live.com
- Enter Port - 995 (you can also try 110)
- Change Security type to - SSL
- Touch Delete email from server if you want to change this option.
- Touch Next
- Enter SMTP server - smtp.live.com
- Enter Port - 587 (you can also try 25)
- Change Security type to - TLS
- Touch Next
- Require Sign in should be checked.
- Customize email frequency
- Touch Next
- Enter a name for the account (optional)
- Enter your name. This is the name will display on outgoing messages.
- Touch Done
If your MSN account (Not Hotmail) does not work then you can try these setting.
Incoming pop3.email.msn.com port 110
Outgoing smtp.email.msn.com port 25
Your account is now set-up. Please test sending and receiving an email.
