I’m Moli, your virtual agent. I can help with Moto phone issues.
The nano SIM card is pre-installed in the device. If you need to replace the SIM card follow the steps below.
First Steps: Power off and unplug the phone.
1. Open the SIM tray.
Pull out the volume keys/SIM tray, located on the right edge of the device, with your fingernail.
2. Remove the nano SIM card.
With your fingernail, carefully lift the edge of the SIM card up and remove it from the tray.
3. Insert a nano SIM card.
With the gold contacts facing down, push the first SIM card into the tray until it clicks.
4. Close the SIM card tray.
Gently push the tray back into the phone until it clicks. Power the phone back on.
Important Note: The use of SIM card adapters could potentially damage your device and therefore should not be used. Device damage caused by using either SIM adapters or incorrect SIM cards may void your Motorola limited warranty. You should use only the SIM included with your Moto G or a replacement SIM approved by Motorola.
