Can the audio routing switches be configured to retain car announcements (reversing sensors, fuel alerts etc) when you are listening to music playback via the TK30?

No. In order to ensure the best Music experience possible, it is desired to have all audio channels play through.  When using the Line-Out setting of the TK30 through an Auxiliary input of the radio, some vehicle entertainment systems may still allow for those prompts to be heard.
