How do I operate my HF820 car kit with my phone?

Use the following table to learn how to operate HF820 car kit features with your cell phone/mobile device.

Note: Some features are phone/network dependent.

To:	Do this:
Turn on HF820 and use with my cell phone/mobile device	Press the Power/Volume button. The Multifunction (Call) button flashes to indicate the car kit is ready for use.
Answer a call	Tap the Multifunction (Call) button.
Make a voice dial call	*Note:* Make sure the voice dial feature is turned on in your cell phone/mobile device. For details on how to set up voice dialing on your cell phone/mobile device, see your phone's user's guide. Tap the Multifunction (Call) button. Say name as it is recorded in the cell phone/mobile device. The phone dials the number.
End a call	Tap the Multifunction (Call) button.
Adjust call volume	Press the Power/Volume button in the up position repeatedly to increase volume. Press the Power/Volume button in the down position repeatedly to decrease volume.
Mute/unmute the microphone	Press the Mute button. The Mute button is lit when the microphone is muted.
Redial a call	Press and hold the Multifunction (Call) button for 3 seconds.
Reject a call	Tap the Power/Volume button.
Put a call on hold / resume a call on hold	Press and hold the Multifunction (Call) button for 3 seconds.
End a call on hold	Tap the Power/Volume button.
Answer a second call	To answer an incoming call while placing the existing call on hold, press and hold the Multifunction (Call) button for 3 seconds. The cell phone/mobile device puts the first call on hold and answers the second call. To answer an incoming call while ending the existing call, tap the Multifunction (Call) button. The cell phone/mobile device ends the first call and answers the second call.
Reject a second call	Tap the Power/Volume button for 3 seconds.
Move between two calls	Press and hold the Multifunction (Call) button for 3 seconds.
Join two calls (3-way conference)	Press and hold the Power/Volume button for 3 seconds.
Turn off HF820	Press and hold the Power/Volume button for 3 seconds. The car kit beeps five times (in descending scale) then powers off.
