Taking photos with the moto g6 forge
To open the camera, do any of the following:
- Touch
- Twist your phone twice from any screen.
- From the lock screen, swipe left.
To take a photo
- If needed, adjust settings.
- Frame your subject:
- To zoom, drag the viewfinder up or down.
- To set focus location, touch the viewfinder then drag the focus ring.
- To change the exposure, touch the viewfinder then slide to the desired exposure.
- To take the photo, do one of the following:
- Touch
- Touch & hold to take a rapid series of photos.
- Touch for a timer.
Tip: To touch anywhere on the screen instead of using , touch > Settings and turn on Tap anywhere to capture.
- To review your photos and videos, touch thumbnail at bottom right. Then:
- To view all thumbnails, touch the screen, then touch to open the Photos app.
- To view photos later, open the Photos app or other photo app you installed.
Take a selfie
- On the viewfinder, switch to the front camera:
- Touch
- Or, twist your phone twice.
- If needed:
- Adjust the beauty filter or mirroring.
- To take the photo, do one of the following:
- Touch
- Touch for a timer.
To take a panoramic photo
- On the viewfinder, touch > Panorama
- Frame one side of the scene.
- Touch , then slowly pan horizontally or vertically across the scene. Keep your motion smooth and use a steady speed.
- When you reach the end of your scene, touch
View panoramas
In the Photos app, you'll see on thumbnails of images when you can use immersive view.
- Touch the thumbnail to open the photo.
- Do any of the following:
- To move the photo around with your finger, touch
- To experience the scene as if it were surrounding you, touch and move your phone around you.
To share your photospheres with others, download the Google Photo Sphere or the Facebook 360 apps.
Adjust ISO and exposure
To refine settings before taking a photo:
- On the viewfinder, touch > Manual
- Do one of the following:
- To adjust an individual setting, touch its icon.
- To adjust all settings, touch and drag an icon to adjust its setting.
- Manual focus
- White balance
- Shutter speed
- ISO, the camera's sensitivity to light.
- Exposure
- Do any of the following:
- To return to default settings, touch
- To close settings, touch
- To exit Manual mode, touch > Auto
- To enable all features and get optimized performance, visit the Play Store to ensure you are running the latest version of Motorola Camera.
- Third-party cases can interfere with the camera. Try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
- Please make sure there is not a protective covering over the camera lens.
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Take a dry cloth and gently clean the camera lens.
- Make sure your finger is not covering or shading the camera lens while taking the photo or video.
