Adjust the display settings on the moto g5s plus
Your phone automatically optimizes the brightness of your screen based on current lighting conditions.
Adaptive brightness is on by default. To adjust this setting:
- Go to Settings > Display
- Turn Adaptive brightness on or off.
You can change the intensity of color on your screen for a realistic or enhanced look.
- Go to Settings > Display
- Touch Color mode
- Choose one:
- To see realistic color, touch Standard
- To see enhanced color and saturation, touch Vibrant
- Turn Night Display off.
- Return to Settings > Display. You might need to touch and return to Display to refresh the options.
Adjust screen colors at night
Your phone can automatically filter out blue light and adjust screen colors to warmer tones at night, making it easier to view and read in dim light. You might even fall asleep more easily.
This doesn't affect the color mode you selected, which resumes outside of night hours.
Set the schedule
- Open the Moto app.
- Touch Moto Display
- Touch Night Display and turn it on
- To adjust start and end times, touch or touch the default time and change it.
- To adjust filter intensity, use the slider.
When Night Display is adjusting colors, you'll see in the status bar.
Turn it off
Swipe the status bar down and touch the notification, then switch Night Display off.
To turn it off anytime:
- Open the Moto app.
- Touch Moto Display
- Touch Night Display and turn it off
- Go to Settings > Display > Advanced
- Touch Sleep and select the time of inactivity before your phone sleeps.
Font size
Control the font size of your device.
To change the font size in Chrome:
- Go to Chrome > Menu > Settings
- Touch Accessibility
- Adjust the slider under Text Scaling to adjust the text size
- As you adjust the font size slider watch the Preview box to see how the font size is affected.
- Close and re-open browser to activate feature.
Note: Certain sites may not reflect text size change.
When device is rotated
The touchscreen can spin or stay right-side up when you rotate your phone.
To automatically switch orientation when rotating the phone; go to Settings > Display > When device is rotated and select either:
- Rotate the contents of the screen
- Stay in portrait view
Tip: The home screen and certain applications will not rotate.
