I’m Moli, your virtual agent. I can help with Moto phone issues.
The Moto X Pure Edition uses microSD memory cards. To remove or insert a SIM or SD card, follow the steps below.
First Steps: Power off and unplug the phone.
1. Open the SIM tray.
Using the provided tool, pop out the SIM/SD card tray.
2. Remove the cards.
With your fingernail, carefully lift the edge of the SIM or microSD card up and remove it from the tray. If necessary, insert the tool into the hole on the back of the tray to pop out the card.
3. Insert a SIM or microSD card.
Place the card in the tray with the gold contacts facing up - see image 1 above.
4. Close the card tray.
Gently push the tray back into the phone until it clicks. Power the phone back on.
Important Note: The use of SIM card adapters could potentially damage your device and therefore should not be used. Device damage caused by using either SIM adapters or incorrect SIM cards may void your Motorola limited warranty. You should use only the SIM included with your Moto X or a replacement SIM approved by Motorola.
