Setup and use notification tones - Moto Z

How do I setup and use notification tones?

Follow the steps listed below to setup and use notification tones.

Choose Phone ringtones through settings menu:

1.  From the home screen touch Image

2.  Touch Settings

3.  Touch Sound & notification

4.  Touch Phone ringtone  (If option is greyed out, make sure handset volume is not set to Silent Mode)

5.  Select a Phone ringtone from the list. Touch OK to set

Loading your own custom ringtone

Connect the supplied USB cable into your device, then into your windows  computer and Drag and drop your audio files to the Notifications folder. (device > Internal Storage > Notifications).

Change the notification tone for Email

  1. From the home screen touch Image
  2. Touch Email or Gmail
  3. Touch  Menu Image
  4. Touch Settings
  5. Touch the desired Email account
  6. Touch Inbox, sound & vibrate
  7. Touch Sound
  8. Touch the desired tone
  9. Touch OK to set as notification tone

Creating your own custom ringtone for phone ringtones/phone calls

Connect the supplied USB cable into your device, then into your windows  computer Click on your deviceInternal Storage

Drag and drop your audio files to the Ringtones folder. (device > Internal Storage > Ringtones)

Set up ringtones using applications from Play store

While we do not endorse or guarantee these solutions, or provide support for them, some owners have reported success using 3rd party Android applications like Ringtone Maker or MP3 Ringtone Free. You can search the Play store for 3rd party applications that are available that will enable you to set up your personal ringtones.
