Insert or remove SIM card and memory cards - Moto E 2nd Generation
First Steps: Turn off and unplug the phone.
1. Remove the Motorola Band.
The Motorola Band around the edge of the phone covers the SIM and memory card slots.
Put your finger on the bottom corner of the Motorola Band around the phone's edge. Pry the Motorola Band off to expose the card slots.
Caution: Do not use tools to remove the band. Doing so may damage the phone.
2. Remove a SIM card.
Push the SIM card in to release it, then slide it out. Do NOT pull the SIM card without releasing it.
3. Insert a SIM card.
With the gold contacts facing down, push the first SIM until it clicks. If you have a microSD card, push it into the microSD slot until it clicks.
4. Replace the Motorola Band.
Align the top of the Motorola Band first, then match up the Power and Volume keys. Snap on the bottom, then press around the whole edge until the Motorola Band is in place.
Important Note: The use of SIM card adapters could potentially damage your device and therefore should not be used. Device damage caused by using either SIM adapters or incorrect SIM cards may void your Motorola limited warranty. You should use only the SIM included with your Moto G or a replacement SIM approved by Motorola.
