Adjusting audio alerts - moto e5 plus

Press the side volume button up or down to select a volume from high to vibrate.

To turn off all sounds, except alarms, turn the volume all the way down.


Do not disturb

To turn on the do not disturb feature, swipe the status bar down  with two fingers, tap the arrow next to "Do Not Disturb" to open your preferences.

(If Do not Disturb does not appear in your quick settings, Touch Touch Apps Image > Settings > Sound > Do Not Disturb Preferences)

Tap one of these features:

Total Silence - Turn off all sounds and alarms. Override sound settings from other apps. Set how long to stay in this mode, or choose indefinitely.

Alarms only - Set how long you want to only hear alarms, or choose indefinitely, tap MORE SETTINGS to customize which other interruptions to receive.

Priority Only - Set how long you want to only hear priority interruptions, or choose indefinitely, tap MORE SETTINGS to customize which other interruptions to receive.

To adjust media, alarm, or ring volume  

Touch  Image > Settings > Sound > Drag a slider to set the desired volume.


To adjust Specific Notifications (Phone ringtone, Email, Calendar, Messaging) use the following:  

Phone ringtone

          1. Touch Apps Image       

          2. Touch Settings

          3. Touch Sound

          Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Also vibrate for calls is not enabled.
   
          4. Touch Phone ringtone, and make desired selection


Default Notifications

          1. Touch AppsImage      

         2. Touch Settings

         3. Touch Sound

         4. Advanced

         5. Default Notification Sound


Mail

  1. Touch AppsImage 
  2. Touch Email / Gmail
  3. Touch Menu
  4. Touch Settings
  5. Touch the account you wish to modify
  6. Touch Inbox sound & vibrate
  7. Touch Sound, and make desired selection

Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Vibrate box is not checked.


Please keep in mind if you leave "Power up Sound" enabled, when powering the device on, this will always make noise even if device boots in "Total Silence".
