The home screen gives you all your latest information in one place.

It’s what you see when you turn on the smartphone or touch Home Image from a menu.

Change the wallpaper

Change your wallpaper whenever you like. You can select from Live (animated) wallpapers, standard wallpapers, or pictures from your Gallery.

  1. Touch and hold any blank space on your Home screen
  2. Select Wallpapers
  3. Browse through the choices, touch the picture to use, and then touch Set wallpaper

Shortcuts

Add shortcuts to applications, a bookmarked webpage, a favorite contact, a destination in Maps, a Gmail label, a music playlist, and many other items. The shortcuts available depend on the applications you have installed.

Shortcuts in the dock row at the bottom of the home screen always appear in all panel views. You can change the dock shortcuts (except for the Apps launcher icon Image that opens the app menu). Touch and hold a dock shortcut to move it,  then select the shortcut you want to replace it.

Folders

Add a folder to organize Home screen items, or folders that contain all your contacts, contacts with phone numbers, or starred contacts. Your folders’ contents are kept up to date automatically. To create a folder, touch and hold an app icon until you feel a vibration. Then drag that app icon onto another one. Repeat with any other app icons you want to place in the same folder. To name that folder, touch the icon grouping, then touch Unnamed Folder. Type in the name of the folder then touch Done.

Widgets

Widgets bring the content you want right to your Home page. Weather, news, messages, and updates from your social networking contacts are pushed to your widgets as the updates happen.

Tip: If you have a widget that is not updating, try removing it and reinstalling the widget

To add widgets to your home screen:

  1. Touch and hold any blank space on your Home screen
  2. Touch Widgets
  3. Scroll through your list of widgets
  4. Touch and hold a widget and drag it to the desired location to add it.
