Use song as ringtone
Songs must be .mp3 files stored on your phone or computer (not streamed from a music service).
Copy the song
- Do one of the following:
- If the song is on your phone, use the File Manager app to locate the song in your Music folder or on your SD card.
- If the song is on your computer, connect the phone and computer with a USB cable.
- Copy the song (.mp3 file) into the Ringtones or Notifications or Alarms folder on your phone, depending on how you want to use it.
- Update your settings to select the song as a ringtone.
Use a ringtone maker app
Ringtone maker apps let you use portions or entire songs as ringtones, copying the files from your Music folder to the appropriate folders for you.
- Search for “ringtone maker” in Play Store and install an app that lets you create custom ringtones with your music.
- Open the app and use it to select entire songs or portions of songs and assign the song (default ringtone, contact, notification, alarm).
