How do I manage photos and videos?

To find photos or videos:

1. Open the Photos app.
   
2. Do one of the following:
   
   • To view photos and videos you uploaded to the cloud, touch Photos.
     
   • To view photos and videos stored on your phone, touch  > Device folders.
     
3. Touch a thumbnail to open an album, photo or video.

Share, or delete photos & videos

1.  Touch Apps > Photos 

2.  Touch and hold an item to select it, then add any other items.

3.  Tap Share

4.  Choose how you want to share

Edit photos

1. Open the photo in the Camera or Photos apps.
   
2. Touch the photo, then touch .
   
3. Touch a tab to access editing options.
   
        Add a filter.
        Adjust light, colour, sharpness and more.
        Crop or rotate photo.
   
4. To reverse your changes while editing, touch Reset.
   
5. When finished, touch SAVE. Your edited image is saved in the same location as the original in Photos.

Edit videos

1. Open the Photos app.
   
2. Touch the thumbnail to open the video, then touch .
   
3. Do any of the following:
   
   • Trim the video. Drag the sliders to outline the frames to save.
     
   • Change orientation for playing the video. Touch Rotate.
     
   • Steady a shaky recording. Touch Stabilise.
     
4. Touch SAVE.

Tip: You can create albums, collages, animations and films from your photos and videos. For more information, open the Photos app, touch  > Help, and search for ‘assistant’.

Change how and when your photos and videos are saved to your Google Account.

1. Open the Photos app.
   
2. Touch  > Settings > Back up & sync.
   
3. Turn Back up & sync on.
   
4. Adjust settings as needed:
   
   • To choose high quality or original size for uploads, touch Upload size.
     
   • To back up items in your Download, Screenshots, and third-party app folders, touch Back up device folders.
     
   • To back up items over your mobile network, turn Photos and Videos on.
     
   • To allow syncing when your cellular service is roaming, turn Roaming on.

Can't find your photos and videos

You might be looking for photos and videos that are saved in a folder on your device.

In the Google Photos app, tap Menu > Device folders
