How do I adjust the alerts on my device?

You can put the handset in vibrate mode by holding down the volume button on the right side of the handset until the handset vibrates.

Here are other methods.

Silence Notifications and Ringtones:

Press and hold the power button until you feel a vibration. This box will show up in the centre of the screen with ringer options:

Touch Silent mode to silence all sounds (including call and notification ringtones) except media and alarm (you must silence media and alarms in their own applications).

NOTE:  You may press and hold the side volume key to toggle this on/off . This setting this will override any individual notification alerts you have set

To adjust Ringtone volume  

Touch Apps Image > Settings > Sound >Volumes.  This opens a dialog where you can drag a slider to set the volume of ringtones that sound when you receive a phone call.



To adjust Specific Notifications (Phone ringtone, Email, Calendar, Messaging) use the following:  

Phone

          1. Touch Apps Image       

          2. Touch Settings

          3. Touch Sound

          Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Vibrate when ringing box is not checked.
   
          4. Touch Phone ringtone, and make desired selection


Email

  1. Touch AppsImage 
  2. Touch Email 
  3. Touch Menu Image
  4. Touch Settings
  5. Touch the account you wish to modify.
  6. Touch Choose ringtone

    Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Vibrate box is not checked.
  7. Make desired selection, and touch OK

Gmail

  1. Touch AppsImage 
  2. Touch Gmail 
  3. Touch  Image
  4. Touch Settings
  5. Touch the account you wish to modify.
  6. Touch Inbox sound & vibrate

    Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Vibrate box is not checked.
  7. Touch Sound, and make desired selection

Text Messaging

  1. Touch Apps Image
  2. Touch Messaging
  3. Touch Menu Image  
  4. Touch Settings

    Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure the Vibrate box is not checked
  5. Touch Sound, and make desired selection

Calendar

  1. Touch Apps Image
  2. Touch Calendar
  3. Touch Menu Image
  4. Touch Settings
  5. Touch General settings
  6. Touch Sound, and make desired selection

    Note: If you do not want the phone to vibrate make sure Vibrate is set to Never
