How can I configure my device?

The Motorola Roadster™ uses a default set of configuration settings. You may change the default settings at anytime.

To modify the Roadster™ configuration settings, enter setup mode by pressing and holding the Call button Call Button while powering up.  Follow the voice prompts to make changes to these settings.

There are four configurable settings in your Roadster™ (default setting in BOLD ). Aside from from the language settings. (Language for voice prompts options are: English, Spanish and French)

  1. Reset to factory default

    Description: Restores the device back to the default settings

    Caution: This action erases all pairing information stored in your car kit.

  2. Voice prompt type

    Description: Replace spoken prompts with tones (FM stations are always spoken)
    Options: On or Off
  3. Caller ID

    Description: Hear the phone number of the the incoming caller
    Options: On or Off
  4. Multipoint (two phone) connections
    Description: Enables the second phone to be paired/used on device

    Options: On or Off

 

For each settings, press the Call Button to select a different option. Upon completing configuration, your car kit plays power up tones and enters the standard power up sequence.

Note: If you fail to complete all four customization settings, your device will not save your changes.
